A Story of Harmony Found

This Is Cora!
Cora is an 8 month old puppy, who is full of life and energy. Although her family loves her very much, as she grew she started to become more problematic. Shoes started to disappear, she started to chew on anything she could get her teeth on, and her once predictable potty routine became unreliable. After a vet visit that left them even more confused, her family started to search for a better answer. That is when they found The Coerenza Approach….
five connected principles. Whole-dog care.
Exercise: The 1st step out of chaos
At first, the solution felt almost too simple. They realized walks had become optional — squeezed between busy schedules instead of being built into daily life. On skipped days, Cora’s energy built like pressure in a sealed bottle. So they committed to daily walks, fetch in the park, and they even built her a backyard obstacle course!
Enrichment: Feeding the Curious Mind
Cora wasn’t just active. She was intelligent. So her family began giving her puzzles worth solving. Frozen food toys, sniffing games, and hidden treats around the house. Her frantic energy started to melt into a focused curiousity.
Environment: Creating Safety
Cora’s family began looking at their home through her eyes. They put runners on slick floors, moved her bed to a cozy corner, safe chews became available everywhere. Within days, Cora moved more confidently instead of cautiously.
Nutrition: Fueling Vitality
After research and guidance, her family began to transition her to a more balanced, high-quality diet. Her coat begain to deepen, her digestion stablized, and her her mood became better.
Role & Responsibility: Belonging
Cora’s family created gentle, predictable routines: greeting calmly, waiting politely, performing small “jobs.” Carrying items. Alerting appropriately. Participating in daily life. Because of this Cora’s eyes brightened with purpose and her affection deepened into partnership. She became part of them.
Conclusion: A New Beginning
The chewing, barking, and anxiety hadn’t been random problems. They were communication. The Coerenza Approach hadn’t trained obedience — it had built a relationship. And in Cora’s relaxed gait and bright eyes, the family finally saw what they had hoped for from the beginning: Not just a well-behaved dog, but a thriving companion.
